Amplifying Affected Voices: Neglected Tropical Diseases

Developed with the Tackling Infections to Benefit Africa (TIBA) Partnership's NTD Affected Voices Programme, this exhibition treats neglected tropical diseases (bilharzia, intestinal worms, elephantiasis, trachoma, snakebite and rabies) as a social, cultural and ethical reality, not only a medical one.

It also marks Zimbabwe's public health progress: bilharzia prevalence has fallen from around 30% to about 1% over the past decade through community-centred intervention. Photography and narrative combine to position affected people as knowledge holders, not passive subjects.
