UNBURDENED

Curated by F. Zvikomborero Mandangu to mark International Men's Day, UNBURDENED examines evolving concepts of masculinity across generations, asking what being a man means in the 21st century.

The exhibition draws on two literary touchstones, Shelley's Ozymandias and Kafka's Metamorphosis, to frame masculine burden across time and economic circumstance, and addresses male mental health directly: a 2019 police report recorded 2,058 men's suicides against 505 women's.
